May Update

I finished Enchanted Mermaid last month.  I found some 014 in with Queen mermaid, so I used that.  I only needed two strands of it to complete what stitching was left.

Just some statistics on her:  She has 4 different colour metallics, 65 treasures and 6 packets of seed beads.  Seed beads have approximately 500 beads/packet, so this could mean there is around 3000 beads on her.  I stitched her on 28 count Silver Springs Jobelan from Colour Cascade Fabrics.

I am now working on finishing Under the Moonlight from Passione Ricamo.  Here is the last photo I took of her.  I am quite a bit more advanced than this, but my next photo will be a finish.

My plan is to finish Blossom Goddess this year for next year's Mirabilia Retreat.  I think since I started on it at the 2017 retreat it should really be finished.  Here is my progress so far:

I also got to visit my favourite fabric dealer and she worked me hard while I was there.  But look at all the pretty bling and patterns behind me.  To the side of me was a lot of gorgeous dyed fabric and yes, while I was very tempted to take some home, I didn't...

I also caught up with friends for a stitching day and we finally got a photo of us all together.  I am going to miss these ladies, especially since we live on opposite sides of the country.

I will also be participating in a Mermaid SAL held by Colour Cascade Fabrics.  The mermaid designs are from Soda Stitch and are incredible.  I am working on my placement of the mermaids at the moment.  We will be using the charts A Legend of the Blue Sea and Princess Mermaids for the SAL

If you are are interested, head to Colour Cascade Fabrics website and you will see an option for it on the side menu.

Have a great time stitching everyone and see you next update!
